TERM 3 2020 - Coronavirus Update and Booking into Term 3 Classes
10/06/2020
Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your patience as I developed the new timetable. Please pay attention to some time changes. We are also going to try to be a little more strict on the age limits of each class (if your child cannot go to any of the age-appropriate classes, we may be able to accept some overlap on a case-by-case basis as we don't want anyone to miss out!).
Please find attached our Term 3 2020 timetable. We currently offer multiple different class types with detailed descriptions to be found as part of our Gymnast Information Pack. Please feel free to ask if you have any questions about what class might best suit your gymnast.
We ask that you please advise us ASAP if your gymnast will/will not be returning to classes in Term 3. A $57 deposit is due to secure your position. Bookings are essential.
Please find below some important details and information for your enrolment.
TERM 3 BOOKINGS, TRIAL CLASSES and $57 DEPOSIT
Classes resume from Monday 20th July, ending Saturday 26th September 2020. This is a 10-wk term.
Let us know what class you are interested in booking into. We will need your child’s name, DOB, your contact number and email address for the booking.
Please pay a $57 deposit to secure your child’s position (this also covers the 2020 registration and insurance fee if you have not yet paid it). Classes are currently open to the public and so we would hate for anyone to miss out on their spot. Please note, all previous term and holiday program fees must be paid before enrolment into a Term 3 2020 class is possible. If you wish to do a trial class before booking into the term, you will just need to pay the single class fee upon arrival.

We are very excited to get back into it all, but there are some changes we need you to be aware of to ensure the safety of our gymnasts, parents and coaches.

We ask that you stay home if you are feeling unwell.
If you or your family are experiencing a cough, fever or any cold or flu symptoms, please refrain from gymnastics classes until you are feeling better. Note that we do offer up to 2 make-up classes per term for absences provided you ring or email PRIOR to class commencing.
It will be up to our coach discretion that if a gymnast displays cold/flu-like symptoms, to isolate that gymnast in an area they can still be safely monitored at a distance, and call the parents to collect them. No refunds will be offered if a gymnast is sat out or required to go home.
Please advise if your child suffers from any allergies/other that may appear to have similar flu-like symptoms so we may take this into consideration.

Drop-off and Pick-up Zones
We encourage only ONE parent/guardian to assist their gymnast to and from each zone, and ask that, unless necessary, only the gymnast enters the facility. We hope this will limit congestion in the foyer area and promote safe physical distancing.

ENTRY – Gymnasts will enter via the normal front door. A coach will greet gymnasts at the entry with hand sanitiser, before then moving through the foyer, along the fence line and placing shoes and belongings in our new shelving. Gymnasts will then enter via the gate near the kitchenette/toilet.

EXIT – Gymnasts will also be exiting via the main entrance as this is our safest set up entry/exit way. A coach will lead gymnasts to the exit where ONE parent/guardian may be present to collect them after class.

Come Prepared for Class (Change Clothes, Go to the Toilet, Bring Own Water Bottle)
To ensure the safety of our staff and fellow gymnasts, we ask that gymnasts bring their own FULL water bottle. The sink and cups will not be available at this time. For emergencies, we will have one-use cups available, along with water bottles still available for purchase from the canteen for $2.

The toilet will not be available for gymnast/guest use. We ask gymnasts to go to the bathroom before arrival to the gym. We understand that this may not always be possible. In case of an urgent bathroom break, we will disinfect after each use.
Where possible, we ask that gymnasts arrive in clean gym-appropriate attire, i.e. please change out of school uniform to limit contamination into the gym. If possible, please wash hands and feet at home before coming to the gym.

During Class
We ask coaches and gymnasts adhere to physical distancing of 1.5m at all times. The class structure may run a little different to limit sharing of equipment, however all classes will be planned accordingly to ensure gymnasts still get the most out of each session.
Gymnasts will be asked to wash or sanitise hands upon entry to the gym, and upon rotation between the trampolines/floor areas. This will help maintain a safe, clean environment for all.
Coach Spotting/Assistance
Coaches are still likely to engage in appropriate spotting as a necessary aspect for safe skill development, however, we will be developing habits of short contact periods, or, avoiding contact if unnecessary. Small spotting for this purpose has been approved by the Gymnastics NSW Chief Medical Officer.

Cleaning
We always pride ourselves in keeping a clean and safe environment for our gymnasts. We will be increasing full gym cleans as well as disinfecting common equipment, door handles and hard surfaces between EVERY class. When necessary, coaches will also be disinfecting boxes/equipment after each use to protect participants.

Remember if your child has any underlying health conditions, including skin conditions, you should notify us immediately.

Masks and Gloves
We would like to advise AGAINST wearing masks while performing physical exercises. Gloves are also advised against to ensure gymnasts do not slip or ‘catch’ on equipment. We will remind gymnasts and coaches to regularly wash and sanitise hands, and to cough or sneeze into their armpit/elbow.

Office Open with Limits
Where possible, we ask that you direct any questions/matters to our office via email/phone to limit foyer congestion and face-to-face contact. We ask new gymnasts to fill out a registration form from home and either email it through or drop it in with your gymnast upon arrival. We understand, however, that this may not always be possible, and so the office will be open for any questions you have, to take payments and for new gymnasts to fill out registration forms.

Other Considerations
- Prior to attending class, please talk to your child about some of the potential changes that may have been implemented within the club. Encourage them to listen to the coach and follow instructions as directed.
- Have a shower when you get home. Despite the rigorous cleaning procedures we will implement, we encourage all athletes to return home and shower to reduce risk of transmission that may occur as a result of the use of any common items, objects or equipment.
- If any member of your family feel sick - call us and let us know. If your child presents with any cold or flu-like symptoms following a gymnastics class, you should notify the club management immediately. Keeping our club informed of the health of your child helps us keep all children healthy.
We appreciate your adherence to these new rules and welcome any questions you may have. Now, it’s time for us to bounce off the walls with excitement as we prepare for your arrival back into the gym!! Who else is this keen?!

Kind regards,
Larissa
